PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) Profit Margins Tightening for 2026

This is probably a good thing since Humana and most other Large MA Private Insurance Corporations seem to have a difficult job at doing simple accounting math when it comes to accurate Pharmacy RX Rebate numbers being reported to CMS and to Providers.

PBM are legalized dr-g dealers who control prices……..let the pharmaceutical companies sell their products directly to pharmacies and cut the middle man PBM…..
Let free market work on pharmaceutical products.
Example:
A dr-g lists at $600.
The PBM negotiates a $200 rebate from the manufacturer.
The insurer pays $400, but the patient’s co-pay is based on $600.
→ PBM profits, patient pays more…..
This is Racketeering !
