Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Stock

Why does UP stock su-k so bad. They are always painting a picture of rainbows and unicorns. With earnings, safety, merger talk. Shareholders must know they are full of s$$$. Because the stock just wants to drop no matter what.

Jimmy will run the well dry …Hedge Funds will collect the last of its dividends and move on to other vulture capitalistic investments. Leaving the railroad broken and the nation’s infrastructure in shambles. PSR is has caused unrepairable damage and this takeover of NS isn’t going to fix it …

The problems at the UP were addressed during those delightful government hearings they had a few years ago. The architect of all of the problems was conveniently absent during the hearings, only to leave Fritzy to take it all. Fortunately, Vena can't run and hide this time! He wanted so badly to be the CEO that Soroban cooked up a reason to have Fritz removed, so Vena could take his place. I wonder what kind of phone calls were made between Vena and Soroban to convince them that Fritz had to be removed? How's Soroban doing with their share of the UP stock. Oh yeah, they sold all of it! Ok, why? Soroban was a minority investor. What kind of losses has Blackrock and Vanguard taken so far because of Soroban. The UP stock hasn't gone up to 400 like Vena said it would, Soroban selling all of their UP stock was no coincidence! So to answer your question of why UP stock su-ks so bad is obviously because of Vena. The UP hasn't performed anywhere near like Vena said it would. Vena has said a lot of things that hasn't come true, so Vena desperately needs the merger to happen. The financial world is starting to wake up and realize aggressive cost cutting measures at these corporations for financial gains is hurting them way more than helping them. Vena is either going to sink the UP, retire very quickly to cut his own losses to avoid consequential hearings from his braindead decision making, or the investors will realize Vena is full of sh!t and kick him out! I just don't see Vena around when the merger thing starts to take shape. He can't handle what he has now!

Wall street is always slow to the reality. That is why insider trading is illegal. It has taken years, almost a decade to investors finally wising up and realizing the $h!thole vena has turned the up into. That is also one reason why vena is desperate to merge. The merger will be the headline, all (which are many) of UP’s problems will be overshadowed by the merger. Everything that has to be fixed can be blamed on the merger instead of chronic mismanagement, lying management, incompetent management etc etc etc.
