Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Wexford office closing permanently on Nov 28th

Note of Thanks to Dublin Office

Please pass along my sincere thanks to the Dublin team for their exceptional engagement over the past 12 months regarding the Wexford office closure.

Their responsiveness and clear, compassionate communication have been critical in managing redundancies and arranging remote-working transitions.

Key highlights include rapid coordination with HR and line managers, thoughtful one-to-one support for impacted colleagues, timely IT onboarding for remote roles, and the practical FAQs and check-ins that helped reduce anxiety and uncertainty. Their professionalism and empathy have made a difficult process significantly more manageable for everyone involved.

I look forward to enhanced support from HR and Management across this business lines during the month of November.

Any truth that Frayman left the Bank to replace Newman on Seinfeld?

What poor employees we hire. Two great banks destroyed by bad hires.

This note reads like it as written by AI for HR or PR purposes. This sounds like a sad and sorry thank you note for hospice care after the death of a loved one, not a facility closure in Ireland.

How can we expect any further enhanced support from HR, unless it means accelerated layoffs or more bonuses for EC.

Sad time for Wexford. Huge loss to BNY Ireland

The "Please think of our colleagues in Wexford" on This week in Ireland is long gone. Cork only got a mention once.

They don't even have anyone to strip out the IT infrastructure at end of November when operations end.

I haven't seen anyone from Dublin in months....

The same Snr Mgmt that visited the office last January could do with visiting the near empty office to just talk to people in person!

Where are the BNY values they spout?

@ar Yes! Fear not. BNY is reserving plenty of morphine for palliative care to assist those who have been diagnosed with PIP and those specifically targeted for layoff and end of life. Supplies are located next to the coffee machines.
