Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Will bonuses get paid out this fiscal year?

Long story short, I'm an L4 - Community, Gender-Expansive, Kinship - Analyst. Thankfully, I survived the blood bath and still have my job.

Does anyone know what the implications are for the bonuses? Are we still going to get the full amount or are they cutting that too?

Thanks!

As a LOP, the bonus is a fixed % of your salary (I don’t have any L4 so don’t know %). For L5 at (100% of your planned bonus—meeting performance standards) it is 5% of annual pay multiplied by corporate performance score % (we will be in 50’s maybe). If you exceed (only 25% of team should) it’s an extra 20-30%. So even an exceptional performer will not be able to make up gap if performance for company is below 70%. L6 is same only sub in 10%.

I am amazed anyone at Target would have the likelihood of a bonus. Their financial performance is horrendous. I am at another company in the industry and if we have a bad year we get zero. There is a minimum to achieve in company performance to even start to qualify.

Full bonus will be based on your performance- if you are a high performer you may get it. Expect bare minimum though.

STI 0, more cuts after 1/1 to reduce headcount heading into reviews. Massive layoff before 4/1 or many medium sized ones before is the norm.

It wasn’t a blood bath, we have had worse layoffs before. You won’t get a “full” bonus, we didn’t meet goals for Q1 and Q2.
