There’s been no official communication. Nothing in the media either. We’re completely stumbling in the dark. Why? Do they want to make this even more tense than it already is? Our livelihoods are on the line.

No wonder the greedy Aholes get sh-t in the streets.
F’ing ba----ds! This horse sh t company caters of offshore employee and does not give a damn about anyone in the US, especially in MN!
I was hired less than 3 yrs ago and got riffed!
No wonder why the world hates these companies! I would never recommend anyone work for UHG/Optum. Evil greed runs this place
Anyone stateside that isn't an H1B.
Not telling media so another executive doesn't get take targeted.
@d4 100% this is one of the things UHG PR folks are coming to this thread to comment on to spread BS. This one's a real black eye. Other stuff about cr-ppy strategy, sure that can dissuade investors and potential employees, but the offshoring is really a bad look.
Same with "no more layoffs" gotta spin that one hard to keep staff grinding until the bitter end. Only problem is all the heart attacks and ulcers drive up the MLR...
You think they care? At will employment. They don't give two sh ts about your livelihood. Any company that tells you otherwise is lying. Are you new to the corporate world? If they could treat people like 100 percent material commodity they would. That is their wet dream. Wake up and smell the dollar bills..
Any total numbers?
They are not seeking an 80% offshore to 20% onshore split. Stop fear mongering. Definitely not true.
Upper management would like to see an 80 / 20 split for now, 80% off shore. Why do you think they evaluating various software that removes accents from a voice so everyone sounds American, so they can off shore all call centers. One of the issues they are currently running into is the software not only removing any hint of a foreign accent is also changing the voices gender making men sound like women. Once they resolve that issue pretty much all call centers will be off shore.
@a8 do it
legally companies only need to publicly announce if it is more than 50 employees being let go at a single location.
@a8 Somehow UHG/Optum always manages to avoid the news every cycle, perhaps it's because they layoff people in a spread of locations, perhaps they strategically delay layoffs throughout different parts of the year.
I am surprised that no one is telling the media about this story
Pretty sure it's over for today. Make no mistake, it will continue until every job is offshored.
