So let me get this straight. When the analysts are citing CM and his sale of stock as a reason for downgrading and selling stock, and lowering the outlook, under already existing pressure about future revenue, you have to wonder. All the layoffs (savings) that have come under CM are moot when it comes to a downgrade because of what CM did. I think SC needs to take CM out to the shed because his layoffs took good people out of Oracle, and maybe his layoff plans saved millions, and his boneheaded sale just cost ORCL billions. Way to go.

CM would have had to sell stock and then identify the dates he wants to sell in the future ahead of time per SEC guidelines for the position he is assuming. Don't read more into this than that.
CM only cares about number 1. His sale just got him another mansion. He is just a dirty milk maid st-----g the uders of Oracle until it runs dry.
The thing is, SC lives and breathes fiscal strategy. CM is now in a position where he needs to hold a candle to what SC has done over decades. This AI investment is a huge gamble. It will probably pay off, sure, maybe? However, when you layoff thousands of workers as part of a "New Oracle", you don't do stuff that effectively wipes away a supposed strategy that cost the lives of people. The poor folks who were let go, and their "savings" can't hold a candle to the downgrade we are seeing over this week. BILLIONS - gone. The poor folks that were lay'd off could have at least said "Well, my stock is still worth something, as long as Oracle keeps things going." Its a small consolidation. CM is playing in the big-leagues and is not ready. SC needs to have a talk with him. SC needs to live to a thousand if these are the replacements in the wings.
Aren't big wigs restricted on when and how much stock they can sell? And don't they have to schedule said sale far in advance to avoid insider trading?
Then again, maybe he did follow the rules and the market frowned anyway?
He knows Ai is a bubble. Once its burst, all going to go down.
