Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Compensation

Does anyone know what the highest percentage rate that can be received for a promotion at year-end? In previous years, 20% was the threshold for increasing to a new level of a job profile. Is it the same 20% now?

Do those percentage numbers include annual merit? If it does, that means 5% promotion increase - typical 2% annual merit = actual 3% increase for you whole year hard working?

10 percent is the max period. If you are still under the minimum for the range too bad they still won’t go over 10 percent in any given year. Need to leave the company for a big promotion

If you are hoping for above 10% just apply elsewhere...make them give it to you or walk...wells probably wants you to quit so will give you 5% ...

We all can tell you lowest. Unicorns has to come out of hiding to give you the facts for 20%. Mine was the lowest some 7.5%.

Totally serious here but do they do promotions? 7 years have yet to see a promotion in my area in tech.

@b4 the limit was 20% without OC approval. But yeah, could be higher as long as you get OC approval. Not sure what it is now with the new no raise situation if in band.

There was never a limit, but some groups may have had thresholds for additional approvals. But I agree with the previous poster on the reality of what you can expect.

Internal to your group promo? You’d be lucky to get 10% but most likely5%.

If your current comp is in the range of the new role you may not get a raise at all beyond typical 3%.
