SMB Challenges? This Leadership Team Is Destroying the Org

Things have been going downhill fast since Aimee left — and it’s obvious. The new leadership team, all the way up to the VP level, has completely changed the culture. People are getting singled out, spoken to disrespectfully, and treated like they don’t matter. Morale is the lowest it’s ever been, and good employees are leaving left and right.

You can feel the fear. Nobody wants to speak up because retaliation is real. Those who do are being pushed out or ignored. It’s all about favoritism now — certain people can do no wrong, while others get blamed for everything.

Performance has dropped, the environment is toxic, and the Pulse and TruScore results are going to tell the story. Anyone paying attention can see the writing on the wall — this org is falling apart under the current leadership.

@da If you know who’s running SMB ops, you already know what’s up. It’s all control, intimidation, and putting people down. Speaking up doesn’t change anything, it just gets you singled out and the retaliation is real.

Of course things changed. Wireless is the most competitive industry and VZ is adapting. If u feel that is being done in a disrespectful way, there are tons of ways to report that anonymously. U should use one of them. I can go to my boss and she listens and helps - just did it yesterday. If u aren’t in that situation, then report it thru one of the available paths.

@d2 why is it that nobody will speak up in ops? I understand it has driven a high turn over rate for parts of the support org, and that it would be higher without recent hub change and when TIP runs out for others. But the last pulse survey was obviously a fear driven number... but why? What's the root?

That is BAU in SMB Operations. It is a very toxic environment and has been like that for years. Living in fear.

Watchthem do rifs and spin off vbg/mci customer base. Somehow they have to unload legacy network backbone(s) in the legacy inventory systems that were never correctly migrated to single source system. Stock price will eventually represent consumer and business mobility and broadband opening up tickets to “newco telco” to get updates on fiber cuts and ring/wave migration fubars
