Are layoff notices going out through the end of this week?
@dx yup "Shabubu" what a joke that guy will be
Hidden layoff: HIS has a goal to replace 30% with offshore over 3 years. New CTO has already started the replacement strategy, hiring a director in India.
@a1 Tech Comm was affected
SOLV is toast and HIS is the burnt parts. This latest round has cut contributors with expertise that will take time to replace, if it can be. Mean while the division heads who have been mismanaging HIS for years are collecting their LTI this month.
The sad facts are There will be fewer people to do the work of the day while having to answer to management for not making the numbers. And Hanson's focus is the device segment and he could not care less about the HIS business.
@d5 sorry I should rephrase my question - are layoffs happening through this week, or if you’re being laid off was yesterday the day to be notified?
@bk 15 minute meeting on your calendar with your direct leader and HR. If you get one of those, that's your notice.
Does anyone know what the timeframe is for Solventum to notify you if you’re being laid off?
@OP which dept? which region?
@a1 It seems much of HIS is affected as part of its current restructuring effort. I've heard of devs, managers, and QA so far. Hard to know for sure until the dust settles. ... though even with prior layoffs the company never really announced anything meaningful. They left us to simply IM each other to ask who was let go in the other teams.
Any idea what departments are being impacted?
