A lot of folks are being dolled out retirements. It seems there is a sizeable fund to retire people now.

Even without the lower guidance, they would still layoffs anyway to feel better. What's seems to the point to work for Emerson anymore?

With the lowered guidance for 2026, for sure they will be asking all the businesses to cut costs to hold the EBITA targets. For sure there will be layoffs everywhere over next 6 months.

They don't do big layoffs now. Our project team was let go in staggered numbers, usually done with a fake morning meeting.

In the past few years, Emerson generally tend to layoffs every siz months - September and March. They laid off most of IT recently and outsourced it to overseas. Probably more layoffs coming.

With CEO Lal, focusing solely of stock prices, acquisition and software, most veteran employees are being shown the door.
