Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

They should say something because the rumor mill is running wild

Just in the last two days I've heard
A) 20% reduction in managers by end of year
B) all projects on hold due to disastrous quarter

External consultants have ruined Verizon. By not listening to the employees they are spending millions to learn trends and buzzwords that makes us weak long term. Perfect for one of their billionaire buddies want to buy us and enriches Verizon’s top brass.

@a6 Thank you for the reminder. I’ll call Fidelity tomorrow! Not helping Verizon or fund Hans $24 million parachute so he can go to the basketball games.. oh please you loser…it’s shameful that he is getting a package like that.

It was so obvious Vz under Hans was built on house of cards. The lack of leadership by the Board during Hans tenure was remarkable. The end result for Hans and Board untouched… 15% Company layoffs and Sampath and CFO get $$$ stay bonuses.

Fully expect Vz Business to once again tried to be sold off… but being in Company many years… no buyers for Vz Business.

Vz desperately wants to follow TMobile Consumer model. The European Vodaphone model was a travesity

We have already been told in NY Metro area engineering that it will be a 15% cut. The victims will be told on November 20th and the off payroll date is December 20th. There will also be a 25% cut of the contingent contract engineers.

There is no package. You will self-terminate or follow the rules of RTO. This is how they avoid paying severance. RTO is being worked into the COBC right now. Don’t believe me? Ask your boss.

I was just going to say the same. It would seem that most companies will follow suit after the news about Google and Amazon. Sure bet that it will happen. I hope for our sake that we get decent packages until something else comes up in this disaster of a market.

Just tell us like it is. We know you are reading these.

Certain groups have already been told 12.5 - 20% cuts. VBG is definitely part of the cut.

Guess the Kevin Hart commercial didn’t convince people they weren’t dropping calls.

SVP of Customer Experience believes we have the best customer service (LinkedIn). Propaganda doesn’t shield VZ from disastrous results.

Go V Teamers!

I think Dan is looking at the likes of Amazon, Meta, and Google as guides to flatten the org.
