My husband was just laid off. He's technically in the Tech space so looks like no sector is safe. He wasn't an engineer btw.

I’m sure I know who he is. Selflessly helped me and others when were lost with technical issues.. A stand up guy and a wonderful person with loads of talent.
@a1 downvoting a wife who is upset that her husband was laid off is certainly a choice. to everyone else impacted today, my heart goes out to you and I'm sorry this was all preceded by a weekend of anxiety.

@OP btw, he was with Target for two decades with pristine yearly reviews. They are letting a lot of institutional knowledge walk out that door. Been wondering for a long time if these people are angling for a takeover. This only strengthens my suspicion that this is true.
