That's just nonsense being remote wasn't a factor in who was laid off.

What happened is that somebody let them in... They are a disease.
Amazon’s playbook was RTO for 3 of 5 days, then remote work cancelled, then 5 days a week, then a big layoff, and another massive one today. While Target didn’t do it in that order, my guess is 5 days a week is coming, same with no remote work and another round of layoffs next year. Accenture is still poking around the company so they aren’t done with their recommended cuts.
No. Most companies have RTO post covid as people are less engaged on zooms, tapped out and have lost office repour & sense of urgency with remoteness. RTO is the first thing a company does when sees signs of business suffering to potentially help with work engagement.
