some directors have already upped the in office requirement beyond 3 days per week. I expect more to follow.

Pretty good balance. Internal audit sits around with their thumbs up their as--s staring at phone all day.
Also, Audit has become very strict about in-office mandate. 3 days per week at your assigned office for at least 8 hours per day is the non-negotiable expectation. I know most if not all LoBs are like that now, but just in case you’re coming from somewhere that it isn’t the case, you should know that up front. I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of the next areas to go to 4 days.
It’s mostly fine until it isn’t. Maybe 4/5 weeks you can get bye just working 40 hours but then that fifth week when you’ve got some hard deadlines approaching you’ll have to work late every night.
@OP lousy they just had a round of layoffs, they’re already over worked like most.
