Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Laff, I posted an absolutely relevant post about what is driving a surge in premiums and the site deleted the post because it accurately blamed the federal government and corporate greed.

Anyone who thinks this site is worth anything is deluded.

Why all the down votes for those with small increases? I see the cost of my premiums went up 11% or $28/bi-weekly.

Don't worry. That extra premium is added to the increased dr-g and office visit co-pays and the the increased max out of pocket. With the decreased value of your dollar, you won't have time to worry about your increase in health care cost because you're going to be too busy worrying about how to put food on your table.

Have you been paying no attention to what's happening with the government at all this year?

If you got a pay increase that put you over one of the thresholds, you'll see a larger increase because of increased costs in your tier in addition to the actual premium jumps. That's what happened to me. (Between losing $250/ year and the jump in tiers, I'm losing about $1000/ year in benefits. Makes that pay raise seem less worth it now.)

Premiums went up but amount that WF pays for each employee have not changed in years. Now we are seeing the gap more clearly. WF paid $13000 per employee per year 10 years ago and they are paying the same now.

It is mostly due to inflation and wells fargo wanting to cut costs so they shifted the burden to the employees. They want you to quit, so they hire someone in india for less.

How did you think they were planning to pay for the “special reward”?

I don't feel too bad that mine only went up 10% for me and my family. I did take a hit the last couple years when they added addition income layers and put more of the burden on higher earners.

I think it depends on your age and pay. Mine is more like +30%

Same here, I think WF is paying a smaller percentage of the total cost now
