Ugh, can we please agree to blame the massively overpaid, corrupt, incompetent executives, and not 'othered' brown people?

lol at the name being TII = Target in India. There’s no Target stores in India.

Did anyone remember that ridiculous ad that was made by TII & shown proudly at Target Together? Tone deaf.

If I survive this Tuesday layoff, I’ll make sure to ignore all communications from TII and slow down on knowledge sharing with TII on purpose. I urge y’all do the same.

@ac they logged us out of Slack last week and made sure we signed the new “agreement” lol. They knew what kind of reactions they will get after the layoff.

One a side note, I wonder how many of you I regularly interact with on slack?

Over the course of my career at Target, I’ve worked across four different functions and partnered closely with several TII counterparts. Through these experiences, I’ve noticed that while some TII team members are highly capable and committed, many lack foundational knowledge of the U.S. retail industry and Target’s in-store operations. This gap often impacts the quality and relevance of their outputs.
How can they effectively plan and forecast assortments without a deep understanding of the retail landscape or direct engagement with vendors? How can they build accurate planograms without ever having visited a store? How can they review item attributes with confidence if they’ve never been consumers of similar products?
I understand the rationale for shifting certain repetitive or executional roles (L2–L4) to TII, but the acceleration in moving entire functions offshore have already eroded Target’s core strengths and long-term success, and ultimately the dead to this once great retailer.

If only we could see this much honesty in the #yelling channel in slack. Lol Hope Target sees this. Seems like many of us feel strongly about this.

@a3 The moment I heard the new CEO talk at the Target Together event about how we are going to lean into “our style” to turn things around it was clear he had no comprehensive plan to try and turn things around at Target. Hey, maybe one more Taylor Swift collaboration will save the company.

If I survive I will spend all of my free time applying and studying for interviews. This company is done. Mark my words, Target will not make it out of this. CEO drinks the juice… This company is no longer Target.
