Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

They’ll start by letting go L8, L7, and L6 leaders, keeping as few as they can justify.

The next to go will be ops and other support ICs that aren’t part of the core experience teams.

Then they may target experience teams with more than the minimum number of essential ICs. If your team has 3 people but can survive with 2, one of you will likely be moved or laid off.

After that it’ll be about consolidation. They’ll look at teams with overlapping work and teams that can absorb work. If a team in TII or another team in the US is doing similar or adjacent work to yours, be prepared.
