At what level knew or contributed to the layoff list beforehand? L8? VP? SVP? President?

@a7 like who?
Why does it matter?
I know for sure that it was SVP and above. VP's were not involved in determining who was let go. That happened with SVP's and EVP's alone. VPs found out this week for the first time.
@OP I know for a fact that it was only very high up levels that knew ahead of time. Since so many leaders have been / will be impacted they were not a part of the actual decisions or privy to the information. Directors and Senior Directors may have been asked to validate work their team was doing or provide some info but when they tell you they didn’t know anything they are being honest. That’s why the news will come from Melissa K. on Tuesday.
Within my pyramid, director level has been providing some input on future restructuring or reduction in roles. They were not aware that it would happen in this form of layoff or before 2026. I believe they got early wind of the rumors. I don’t think that L8s know the details of what will be included but probably provided some insights and inputs and pieced things together several weeks ago.
There have already been VPs, SVPs and EVPs laid off so it likely varies by organization.
Likely VP and up.
