The way people kicked and screamed about returning a couple days aweek, who can blame them for layoffs.
We work for them.
The silliest thing I heard was "but I don't have daycare". Grow up, you can't get work done with toddlers at home.
Guys - this was decided at the Board of Directors level, no one person 'made the call'. It was most likely a recommendation of outside consultants reviewing the business (Accenture) and seeing the bloat and inefficiencies.
THIS IS NEEDED
Probably MF with a general consensus that if other companies are doing it then it’s good for Target. Target has been exceptionally reactionary and changing position/following trends instead of leaning into the differentiation and culture that used to be hallmarks of the company.
