No, it’s not the Kmart moment. Target has to change its culture to fit America’s changing shopping habits. Who is its market demographic now that family formation is later, if at all? People have less disposable income due to rising costs. Shop online pickup at store is great but it reduces foot traffic and off-hand purchases. Figure out how to thrive in this environment.

I don't think so. I know a lot of people say Target is the next Kmart, and based on declining sales I see the comparison. But Target continues to invest way more into upgrading and building new stores, and improving technology (pick up, Shipt). Supply chain is way behind and needs to catch up but overall Sears and Kmart weren't investing into the future during their demise. This all s-cks but the company has had peaks and valleys over the last 60 years.
