Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Carcass of a Legacy Titan

After watching our numbers rolling in for Q3, the “WTF” exit survey, impending lay offs, and somber mood in my region, I can’t continue to sit here and smile like an id--t. Folks, we’re sitting in a rotten carcass being picked stripped off any value left before being thrown into the incinerator. Hertz is done. Don’t wait to get your notice. Time to get off our chairs and get employment where the business is actually bringing customers and profits.

At least this company affords the safety team to travel and show adults how to stretch. This will surely turn revenue around.

Get rid of the dead weight already…

The people who sit at home literally just hanging out with their children bossing people around. Ineffective leadership.

@cv you must not have been affected by anything done. Just wait. Doesn’t matter how strong or valuable you think you are. It will happen.

Investors are in for a rude awakening if they had any hope of a Hertz turnaround. CBO staff in panic mode yet again to the likes of C19 days. Management gaslighting on every town hall. Rentals have fallen off a cliff in my city. National and Avis have empty lots. How can we survive???

@cv do you realize Gil how many careers have been ruined by you and all the other useless CEOs that have sat on your chair making one bad decision after another? No need to get upset. Not your fault. It’s the Board’s fault. They all need to go. Major investors need to understand if this business is still viable and recoverable. I don’t believe so and I know you don’t either. Where is that flywheel going? Clearly not back to basics.

Polish those Resumes folks. This company has no future the way they are running it into the ground. Real shame.
Hertz is losing market share in almost every region and division. We are now at the bottom of the total pole of rental car companies. I heard many comments from large corporate accounts we are now the "Ghetto rental car company" because of bad service, lean staff, and very non maintained cars.
Bad Leadership and id--tic business decisions!

Very true. My GM is sweating like never before crushed by corporate demands and pressure from our controller. In my 17 years here never seen this level of operational chaos and stress. Sixt wants me to join them and at this point I am giving it serious consideration.
