Check Amizon for layoffs then figure it out.
Ok here’s a real answer.
Yes, for now, we think layoffs are over.
There’s still unresolved 2026 budget issues. So once the Q3 earnings are ready, they’ll decide about more in Q4. If they need to adjust headcount to make Q4 come in nicer, they will.
Layoffs are mostly over for this year, given some are in process. But if you have not been informed, it is safe to say it won't happen till next year. Ahhhhh... next year- for those who know Walmart, you probably know they do plan things out, albeit not always perfectly. I follow HR executioners carefully and doing so has proven to be mostly accurate. Look for Marketing to get restructured and have layoffs. Note new incoming People Partner ("Restructure/ Layoff) witch. Mostly likely toward middle of year, but with the AI race everything is being accelerated. Within the field, expect a major restructure / layoff with the Market People Partners. This has actually been in the works for years, but again, with AI, this is the year. I anticipate a hub and spoke structure within regions considering stores are not able to just execute a playbook, just because they are told to do so. As far as Global-tech, I am speaking with less knowledge, but if you follow the news even a bit, you know AI will continue to reduce headcount, specifically around mid-level ranks. Finally, I am watching Finance- they have quite a bit of new leadership, so they may want to ensure the boat does not rock too much, but you can count on it either late in the year or sometime in 2027.
