I never imagined my age and experience would be a liability when it comes to work, but here we are.

Forum keeps repeating layoffs are L6-L8. If that is true then L6 without any direct reports and those L5 and under are less likely to be affected Tuesday 28th
L5 is also middle management?
So L5 is a target?
So unless your L5+ you shouldn’t be in range of group being laid off.
My source said middle management is being restructured with some going away and others having adjustments to # of DRs.
Merch is also on the radar.
If nervous, send any documents to home e-mail that would help in updating resume. If you have a reporting type job w/ spreadsheets you’ve created/use & would like to have access to if landing similar position, make copy, clear data, send home. DO NOT send any company data to home - if not on radar, sending company data will definitely put you on a different radar … and it’s not a good one.
Hopefully you don’t get any last minute appointments.
Early retirement?
Likely not so much your age as it is your position and pay. Given your age you are likely in a higher position with a higher pay which is what makes you a target. but don’t forget they can’t have a bunch of inexperienced 24 year olds left running this place… though that might not be any worse than where we currently are.
