Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon Connect

It would seem this is a poorly kept secret that Verizon Connect likely will be sold. Recent activity by leadership looks like they are best positioning the company's cash position and unexpected re-alignment internally. The stars are aligning.

OP knows the secret, although I think they plan on keeping enterprise auto even though that’s a huge tu-d. It would be too much of a brand hit if we don’t have a “in-vehicle” product to sell auto OEM’s.

VZ Connect is a product. Not sure why there is a whole organization managing it. It is treated like a true SAAS but it is not. Like anything Verizon touches, they price themselves way over the competition and when customer leaves they never come back.

Connect has a toxic culture with extremely poor and inept management. Every competitor has eaten their lunch and there is no sign this business will survive. Get out now. Everyone who has left Connect is now thriving elsewhere- motive, geotab, etc..
