@cs CR is now hyping QRNG, a 23 year old technology that Cisco managed to produce this year, finally. Stupidity, thy name is Cisco leadership.

CR and the rest of Cisco are now completely Patelised. Resistance is futile! Bow to the Patel gods.

@d3 That's because all the AI companies are run by businessmen who are still engineers at heart and understand engineering, IT and where it is going, not a hubristic sales weasel like Co-k Robbins, his useless sidekick G2 and his team of like-minded losers. Sam Altman, Jensen Huang, Satya Nadella. All computer scientists, programmers and engineers who are creating and shaping the future whilst Cisco can't even follow them they are so far behind the curve - all it can say is "AI" to try to garner relevance at every opportunity. Cisco have a band of clueless mo--ns at the helm with layer upon layer of grovelling, slimy, careerist politicians below them. Bunch of clowns.

@cd this does not stop Caught Robbin or Peetu Patel getting up and acting like industry leaders and sharing that the strong AI backlog is anchoring growth.

@cd Read NVidia's data center build guide for AI. Cisco not even mentioned once. The mass scale AI DC builds worth hundreds of billion of dollars are following these guides and white papers. Cisco role in all this? 0.001% possibly. A few routers at the edge. Maybe. Some wireless in the DC. Perhaps. Cisco is totally outplayed and irrelevant in the biggest IT project of all time. CR is directly responsible.

Come on, Cisco's just one more Figma prototype of an amazing AI innovation shown at a tradeshow away from dominating the market.

Cisco is irrelevant in the world of AI. It is not remotely in the same space as NVidia, OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, Coreweave and others. Whilst they are changing the future of the world with AI technology Cisco can't even get a switch working properly via its CLI without bugs. Cisco could have played a critical part in the AI revolution but their useless, none technical SLT asleep at the wheel spitting out their usual BS whilst others got on with it. Cisco has been out manoeuvred in every tech transition since 2000. The culture of Cisco is sycophantic where innovation and challenge of the modus-operandi is not welcome and people who do so challenge, even with the best intentions to improve the business and expand its technical franchise, are LR'd, especially if they go against or embarrass a useless VP who got there via PPT and BS. It will be the downfall of Cisco.

Cisco is in need of new blood. I propose to take advantage of this opportunity and hire those Meta AI talents just like we hired Google Cloud talents not long ago after Google let go some employees.

Well that’s gonna damage the strong backlog.
