I know some Senior Leaders have been meeting this week to get updates. I'm not sure how many details they shared with you, but would you be willing to share some general thoughts here?

@fv hi, I'm the one who posted about my mom. And no, it's not throwing her under the bus because that was not the actual sensitive detailed classified information on the layoffs, like where or who.
Says they sometimes sign NDAs or have to promise not to share confidential info for some things, and can't even tell family about details.
She will not tell me anything else of the sort that you guys probably want, except that everyone in their teams will know at the same time on Tuesday, and that most of the layoffs are because they're merging multiple jobs into one job, and multiple teams into one team. There will be many teams where the entire team is gotten rid of, but no I do not know what teams or where in Target everything will be.
You don't have to believe me but she's been talking about October layoffs for months now, and the information is true.
@aq Good intel. What else can you give us?
@bk I been told this also. The communication will be along the lines of there is going to be an upcoming restructuring and that more specific information regarding the changes will be coming Tuesday. The office will be closed Tuesday.
@bj what details will come out tomorrow if layoffs aren't until the 28th?
@bf you are right, we do all have our sources! I’m not going to give any details about mine but they are reputable. I am no longer a TGT employee as I was laid off a few months ago myself after a long tenure there. People will be finding out more details tomorrow and layoffs have been accurately reported as being on the 28th. I’m thinking of everyone feeling anxious and in limbo right now!
There are a lot of annual product planning meetings happening right now and many leaders are also in town for demo day yesterday. Could be that, and unrelated, who knows.
@bb who are your sources? Everyone has sources. Talked to a couple of Directors today that both said they knew nothing other than there was a meeting.
@b7 I was the one who wrote the reply about “throwing their mom under the bus” I agree with you but the details sound fairly accurate according to what my sources have told me. If they are reputable I hope they gave misleading details about their “mom” on purpose. No one would really be that clueless as to identify their source like that…would they?!?!

@aq You are throwing your mom under the bus. It wouldn’t be that difficult to figure out who she is so unless she’s going to be quitting you’re sacrificing her job. Next time just say a “reputable source”.

@ap hi, same person me again. And she said sr directors and below will be next Tuesday. In total she said it’s gonna be like 1800 jobs including open positions so probably around 1200 real people.
And she said they’re doing even more coming January-February.
@OP my mom is an SVP and has worked there for 19 years, she told me they’ve known who/what’s being laid off/merged for months now, and yesterday they had a 5 hour meeting finalizing things before today. And tonight is another big meeting
@OP some of the people posting on here may be Senior Leaders. No one dares identify themselves or how they know the information that they do. The people who are not saying “I think”, “I’m speculating”, “I’m guessing”, “it might be” etc. are very probably people who actually know.
@OP some of you read these message boards too. Would love to get some information if at all possible.
