Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I'm finally out

Put in my two weeks notice today. Got a substantially better offer at a company that is not desperately trying to stay afloat.

For others who are still there, don't give up. It tools me months before I even got my first screening interview. Probably applied to 50+ openings, mostly ghosted or outright rejected. My advice is to stick with it, consider companies outside of semiconductor manufacturing, and if you're a U.S. citizen try finding companies that don't prioritize H1Bs.

Good job OP, smart people find a new job while they still have a job.

You don’t have to worry about layoff at Intel anymore OP. Congratulations ! The leftovers are still asking about their turn of next round of layoff and counting down their last pay checks.

You are one of the 1%. Super lucky no one will touch Intel employees with 100 ft pole. We are considered more then toxic - we are nuclear radioactive waste

you probably have to look at the majority shareholders of the company
that you are interested in to determine its priorities

This honestly put a smile on my face. I’m so happy for you, dear stranger, and I really hope this new job or opportunity brings you the stability and peace of mind you deserve, along with all the other little perks that come with no longer having that cloud hanging over you.

And even though you won’t be there anymore, if the environment or everything that’s been going on left you feeling anxious or worn down, please don’t hesitate to reach out for some counseling or support. Sometimes we don’t realize how much a place affects us until we’ve stepped away from it.
