Thread regarding Albertsons layoffs

5 Day RTO in January

Overheard in NorCal office this morning. 5 Day RTO sometime in January of next year, apparently all but confirmed, exact date TBD. Doubt it comes up this Friday during Quarter Town Hall.

@45k really? In my seating area, almost no one comes all 4 days in office. People are in office for 2-3 hours, then goes home.

@45k I suspect they won't start the next round of layoffs until early January 2026.

@pr they’re viewing it as involuntary resigning if an employee does not comply with RTO. Or at least that’s what happened to someone on my team.

@ds most of United, most of accounting/finance/marketing/merchandising, more if not all of IT

Is anyone can confirm about the rumor on people not following RTO are being laid off?

@OP that matches up with the next round of layoffs, so I’d believe it for sure.
