It's officially Tuesday... is this the week? Someone must know for sure, a lot of chatter on the site. Many large meetings were canceled and almost 60 days till end of year. I really wish the company would just do a yearly VSP instead of rifs. It would be easier on everyone who wants to stay another year or leave.

if you know where to look, you can find off books notifications and schedules on At Your Service.
last notification of the year is always the last Wednesday or Thursday before the final payday of October. This allows notifications to take place before required WARN notifications are filed to get people off the books before first qtr of new year. November is too late and also focus changes in November.
the company is always optimizing and restructuring, but don't let people in this page feed you bs about specific dates. Look at the history of predictions on this page. Just keep your skills and resume up to date but don't live in fear.
@ac I heard Dec 19th off the books. Probably more than 15% in some areas. From what I understand it is going to be setup like the old Verizon. Wireless and wireline silos, merge functions which will facilitate the RIFs.
@a6 15% across the board gone, notifications in November, off the books after the New Year. This is round one.
Yes, buckle up it could be a rough one... No major announcements, just lots of people being pulled in for meetings with their managers and HR.
