I never understood why won't you just do a very very bad job at training your replacement? what are they going to do, fire yuo?

I was notified of my layoff on 10/1, my (former) team had a call with management last week and they were told blatantly more layoffs and "changes" were coming. They will continue not just until the end of the year, but beyond that. Don't know why this is a surprise to anyone, do you see the way they have been outsourcing basically everything, and how they're grooming AI to do as much as possible (stupidly, IMO)
The other country layoffs are not even started. More waves of layoffs could happen in USA
Because past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Because the actual greed of the executives in this company is beyond comprehension. With inflation people are really struggling and this company throws out 20k in RSU to a select few that will realize the money they need today in Sept 2026. Because to tell you why I am personally concerned would potentially put me but trust me they are grabbing money back wherever they can. Because am from the Cerner acquisition and don't see customers beating down Oracles door yet for this new EHR. Because the Oracle mind fu--ing has finally gotten to me and I am ready to be done. I just don't care anymore about a career path I used to love. Please RIF me.

Layoffs are continuous in this geopolitical economic world. Those days of working for one company for decades does not exist. As you get older, the companies treat you like an old used rag. And with AI automation ... I worry about my kids finding a job after college.
