As an OI worker nobody has really said or heard anything at least in my little corner, albeit my team has never had layoff whispers or issues since I've been here, so now I'm really curious since OI has been mentioned a lot here.

Too late to worry about. You will find out soon enough if you are affected 10/30. If not affecting you just like any other day you will hear nothing since not your business. Same as it ever was around here for the past 20 years and will continue in the future.
