Dozens of Oracle customers impacted by Clop data theft for extortion campaign: Researchers said malicious activity dates back to early July and active exploitation was observed two months ago.

Clop, the notorious ransomware group, began targeting Oracle E-Business Suite customers three months ago and started exploiting a zero-day affecting the enterprise platform to steal massive amounts of data from victims as early as Aug. 9, Google Threat Intelligence Group and Mandiant said in a report Thursday.

@OP Data and Information from that Data is worth more than gold. This will continue to happen as more data centers and cloud networks grow.

I heard about that. Also heard that it had been fixed, just needed to be applied to the customer's systems. Not done soon enough, apparently. How many of the customers wanting to delay the security patching got hit? At least Oracle has them sign a release if they do that - O shouldn't be liable for intrusions/hacks/exploitations that have been fixed but couldn't be applied in a timely manner.
