Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

No one at Nike inspires anything anymore

The so-called leaders play politics and mumble through meetings and promote people who don’t even understand the work. Things are getting worse every day and nobody seems to care. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching a slow collapse of a once great company in real time.

@OP Agree 100%. There isn’t anything inspirational about Nike anymore. Your leader should actually inspire you. The leaders lack a moral compass, promoting their favorites and demoting otherwise. If by chance you file a speak up complaint, HR will protect them. You don’t have a voice, you have a badge with a number that could be drawn at anytime. Head down and look for a non toxic employer that values employees enough to actually do the right thing. Talk is cheap and at this rate it is indeed a slow collapse.

I could care less how beautiful the campus is or how many food options there are. How about they focus on the toxic leadership because people don’t leave jobs, they leave toxic leaders. If your leader is toxic they can’t truly lead a great team, hence the collapse. Egos and power plays all day long. It’s pathetic!

OP - really. You are not paying attention to what’s happening around you on campus. There is renewed energy.

I don’t agree with this. I inspire myself very hard to go to campus. Lots of inspiration. Hard inspiration.

Everyone is being coached by their bosses to see everything as a political game, leaving no one willing to stand up for what’s best for business. Dissenting views aren’t tolerated. It’s what led to today’s problems and what keeps it from recovering. You can only go through so many re-orgs before people totally lose hope and just go through the motions to get through their day.

Not that we can understand anyone in leadership today with the ever increasing quicky mart accents.
