86% Engagement - My Aunts Fanny

I was wondering if they were going to cook the books on the engagement survey. Either folks were scared that any negative reviews would be traced back to them, or they only took the survey results from Sr. Management. I don't know a single person who gave them a good response. Complete sh-t show.

I saw the overall results for my area and I can confirm the results are highly fabricated. There is no way people in our area gave 90% favorability ratings. No one is happy, we are all just doing what we can to survive at this point.

@d1 Replying to myself - we had the results meeting on Monday, our Manager was basically asking "why the low scores", we told her that most of if ia due to RIF that happened not so long ago. Sehr said that this should be behind us now and should focus on what we can improve. And I sh-t you not, 3 minutes afterwards one of our guys got the e-mail for the current RIF. Cannot imagine why the score would be even lower next year (if they do the survey that is).

The result is based on the answer to only 4 questions, most of which are softballs.

We learned long ago to not tell the truth. Otherwise your team has to have a bunch of stupid meetings to figure out why people are upset. Better to lie and not have to engage in such time wasting nonsense.

I heard during last year’s survey that one of the C level leaders targeted their direct reports that gave bad reviews. So likely people are too scared to fill it out honestly. The day the economy turns around, every employee with self respect will be out the door.

More than half of my team responded negative to “i see myself at cargill in next 12 months”. All the celebratory positive numbers are likely cooked.
