Are they going to be cruel enough to stretch this out into the holidays? I haven't been here long enough to know, but has Target ever had layoffs close to Thanksgiving or Christmas?

No, there’s a system freeze in Q4. That would likely prevent a mass event. So if you make it thru Halloween, you’re likely safe til end of January. It’s also further evidence it’ll be in the next couple weeks because they have to do before EOQ3.
