Badge tracking

Managers: “Work in the office OR ELSE HR will catch you! 🤬”

HR: “new managers misunderstand the policy and we have a 3rd party vendor, managers are notified of a trend before us”

So is the truth that managers get a higher bonus for people being in the office? Perfect attendance has done nothing positive for my career. Just makes it harder for me to do my job.

Hold on…you got hired on to a full time job. Why wouldn’t you show up every day to do your job. There was never a 40 hour a week job at Fidelity the expectation to make the company great and successful was 40+ hours….it is called meritocracy - compete for performance. I recently heard a ridiculous number of Fidelity staff - go back to the work ethic of old and cut out all the BS programs, DEI, all the HR cr-p and get a work ethic. Expenses will be cut substantially and the culture will be where it was…hard work gets rewarded. So many cry babies looking for attention. Su-k it up and do the work!

There's an article visible to all but specific for managers which explicitly says that connect week adherence is just one of the factors that should be considered in relation to bonus/promotion.

Complete 180 by HR but it's not shared with the wider audience.

Search fidelity central and you'll find it

As a manager I tell my team to just come in everyday during connect weeks and don’t coffee badge, I don’t care if they need a later start or earlier leave. Hasn’t been a problem with HR for any of my guys this year. No I don’t get a higher bonus for attendance. But last year I have seen some bonuses get nuked for folks who were consistent in skipping connect weeks. We all hate it, just look out for yourself and don’t cause patterns that warrant further requirements for everybody.

No, managers don’t get a higher bonus for their team’s attendance.

Yes, you may get a low or no bonus if your attendance is bad. This is not at your manager’s discretion.

Yes, HR will contact your manager and notify them of a pattern. My manager was told by our HR bp that someone on our team had a pattern of missing connect weeks.

Seriously, smarten up. If you want to work at a company with hybrid schedule, and you want your bonus, come tf into the office the 50 freaking percent of the time that you are required to.

Don't blame us managers. Sure....if we have someone one the "list", there's a perception that we are mismanaging and it makes us look bad or like we aren't managing our people well. Similar to if someone doesn't fit their required training after nudging, cadjoling and reminding.

@OP I think I heard recently that we will be all receiving updated badges soon. Not sure if these new badges are a better way to track activity or not but if the current system is working why spend money on an upgrade? Better way to keep track of the slaves uh I mean valued associates.
