Thread regarding Booz Allen Hamilton layoffs

My last day was last week.

I was put on the Booz Allen Bench at the end of August. It wasn't even two weeks before I received what they call at Booz Allen a lack of work notice, with a layoff date clearly stated.
While on the bench, I applied to five internal jobs, and I was turned down for all of them.
None of the hiring managers or recruiters ever contacted me regarding the jobs. You just receive a rejection form letter type of email that su-ks stating you are not being considered for the job you applied to. I had even stated on my resume I submitted to the five jobs I applied to, that I was on the bench, including stating my layoff date. Before my layoff last week, the five people hired to fill these positions had already started their first day with the company. I read these people's profiles', and they were all hired from outside the company. If you have a layoff notice in hand, you are not given any consideration to fill an internal position at Booz Allen. I'm not sure what people reading this think, but it sure told me heck of a lot about Booz Allen while personally experiencing the drama hiring managers and recruiters pull on people.

My guess would be that those people were getting paid less than you or had some certs that you didn’t. It’s hard. I applied for nearly 50 positions with about the same result. I know it su-ks right now but think of it like dodging a bullet.

Let me guess, you're older and have worked for the company for a while (perhaps on various project with lots of experience gain over the years). And those new hires were all young folks.
The reason why the hiring manager didn't hire you is because they most likely were given a profile by HR on the specific type of person they should hire (young, recent US college graduate who can transfer to H1B visa (not have to pay 100K fee since already in USA), perhaps with some AI experience).
Most companies are hiring younger people. Getting the older folks to train them for few month to a year, and than the older folks get laidoff. Don't teach the young, let them sc--w up. This way, if the quality goes down, they will stop laying off older workers. Hopefully!
