Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

New PTO policy is a slap in the face for that live in Texas.

New PTO changes -

Most employees will not see any changes to their PTO accrual minimums or PSWD carryover maximums, and no employee will have fewer PTO or PSWD as a result of this change.

· Illinois- and Nevada-based employees will have higher minimum PTO accruals (from 80 hours minimum to 104), while employees in California, Colorado, and Montana will have higher minimum PTO accruals (from 80 hours to 104) and higher PTO carryover maximums (up to 216 hours).

So a big - 🖕🖕🖕🖕 we don’t think you’re worthy Texas folks.

No to mention a ton of Cigna employees who took a PTO cut in the transition. This is demoralizing.

They are saying that pay is now determined by location and not job code. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

@a3 they're showing you exactly how much they think of their employees. TX is receiving the exact treatment everybody would be getting if state laws didn't require otherwise.

It's the very last straw for me (Texas employee). I am going to job search full force. The lack of good judgement and employee consideration is astounding. It's an unbelievable blow to employee morale.

NM is on Plan 2 for Paid Sick and Wellness Days which is why their deal is better - unlimited carry over instead of only 80 hours like Plan 1.

@a2 Where do you see that? NM is in Plan 1 just like OK and TX.

@a1 New Mexico employees are getting an additional 40 hours of PSWD and going from 80 hours possible carryover max to unlimited... that's not getting sc--wed over.

Texas though... yeah. No state laws to help us like IL and such.
