Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

If there's one thing that makes layoff day even worse, it's an email from SteveB

Honestly. Just STFU.

They'll dump as many X folks as possible as they are on to his schemes for a couple of years now. Lexmark folks may drink the Kool aid for a minute longer before they realize there is no hope.

@a3 how about that folks can re apply in the future? Really? Why would anyone return to a company when they were let go? The FAQ section were all manufactured / pre planned questions. Of course they are not going to give any answers. For example - one question is will future layoffs occur? The answer? A long winded response that basically yea more is coming.

Release the Q3 numbers and stop waiting - everyone knows it’s a horror show - put people out of their misery. This isn’t going to get better.

This was never a secret. But the acquisition of Lexmark all of the overlapping positions had to go. They didn’t even ask us to sign an NDA. I feel everybody knew it was coming. We had to justify all of our team’s positions, but that’s about it..

My "favorite" question in the FAQ - "What can I do to support the business?" yeah, that's what everyone is asking today.

"Ask not what your company can do for you?". I feel like that was better when president Kennedy said it.
