@nx Because I care about the people being let go, not because I give a cr-p about Broadcom's well-being. And if a company is letting go of a ton of good people, it's a good sign that you need to start looking elsewhere. How is that a foreign concept?

@kq people will get laid off. You will get a different rep. One who is spread much thinner, who will be told how big of a a pain your company is to deal with since you view yourself as “stuck for now”. This works both ways, and you should expect the bare minimum.
You are the reason they got let go. The new rep will know you are a dumpster fire and prioritize you accordingly.
Just heard from one of our primary reps from the past several years that he's been let go. As a customer stuck with them for now, I'd love to hear more details on the layoffs...if anyone is willing to share.

My boss had me take the week after giving a heads up, it was a good run while it lasted
Layoffs in at least 3 software divisions started w notifications yesterday Oct 13, last day of service for those targeted Dec 13 (which means just days before bonus and equity payout, harsh). Several folks sending letters soliciting open spots in other biz units revealing this in their solicitation, so there's your confirmations in spite of all the all-happy-here denials. It's happening

I'm hearing the same thing from a resource close to very high-level leadership. Account Directors and Regional Directors should be notified by 10/16.
