At the glittering “Profit-Palooza” gala, where healthcare moguls bathed in champagne fountains, AARP strutted in, clutching a $9 billion royalty check from UnitedHealthcare—its cut from branding Medicare plans. “For the seniors!” they crowed, while steering grandmas to policies with 32% claim denials, a record even Big Insurance applauded. Pharma execs clinked $1,000-a-pill glasses, hospitals billed $500 for a Band-Aid, and self-dealing ran wild, bankrupting Americans faster than a Vegas slot machine. AARP, swimming in 80% of its revenue from insurer “royalties” ($1.134 billion last year), outsourced claims to Narnia’s call centers, shrugging as patients sold kidneys on eBay to cover co-pays. “Capitalism cures all!” the system sang, billing the crowd for the tune—while AARP stashed its profits in a tax-free vault, winking, “Advocacy pays!”.
Healthcare system is designed to be Fraud friendly and squeezing more profit from it is complexity. Shame on you AARP, they suppose to be advocates of the elderly poor Americans but in reality they are worst than the internet scammers of the elderly.
