PC activity tracking

many companies do this but ADP has always been built on trust and results in the years i’ve been there
However they are now testing pc activity tracking tools to measure how active you are and to determine if you’re active enough.
such a shame that they don’t want trust their employees based on deliverables and are now exploring pc activity to measure your value.

How tomes have changed!

Yes, it was about that same time that they installed motion detectors under the desktops in my department. Telling us that it was to determine what parts of our desk we used. Hopefully, they got accurate and useful information. Otherwise, a lot of wasted shots of our waists and legs. Plus, I had monitors on both sides of my desk, so who knows what they determined. I tend to stand and pace while talking, so movement is normal to me. I have no idea what that would do to their numbers. To be honest, I no longer care.

In the end, AI will replace everyone, from the lowliest employee to upper management. Equal opportunity replacements for all. At all companies, in all industries. Poverty at every level with business entrepreneurs and corporate bigwigs tumbling down into poverty with everyone else when no one can afford to buy their products and services any more. A wonderful world awaits as AI progresses.

This is the magic of ADP. With its move towards a gente of AI, there will soon be no need for you because AI can just help a client set up everything and make decisions based on the LLM set up for large payroll companies and customized by ADP. And in the end, there will probably be an AI corporation because what's the need for leadership at all if you have AI LLMs leading the way for decision making? The purpose is just to make money and to make as much money as you can to invest in the stock market to make more money off of everybody else's work. So if you can replace it with AI, you're guaranteed even more money because then you don't have to care about people, you've replaced them. I can see ADP changing its name to ADAI

An employer can certainly supervise its employees any way it wants. And employees can make other arrangements. I did and left. It is unnerving to be constantly watched all the time even if working properly.

In my department at ADP back in 2016, shortly before I retired, they were already installing PC activity tracking systems. I'm so glad that I retired before that sh*t seriously impacted me. I would have hated working under its watchful eyes, despite doing quality work and meeting deadlines. Like Big Brother watching you all the time. Yes, lack of trust - big time!
