After 3 weeks, the separation agreement is finally done. Dell is covering 2 months of COBRA insurance (they cut us off a full week BEFORE he was laid off).
How long did it take for y'all to get health insurance reinstated? We're in OKC and I've been without medication for a month now. It's way too expensive to pay out of pocket (thousands). I'm afraid it'll be too late to use it by the time they reinstate & backdate it.
2 months plus one week per year service
for me everything was slow and I had to push for every signature...dell sux!
Call the insurance company, when my husband was laid off , we needed medication and the pharmacy said we didn’t have insurance and told us to call, when we called the insurance company they said the company took us off but we needed to call them for the 2 month cobra, dell never mentioned that.
I was told I was getting the axe on a Tuesday and all the paperwork was signed by end of tbe day Wednesday. There was zero disruption to my insurance. Someone majorly dropped the ball in your situation.
