A customer was told by a vendor that we’re Comcast under a different name. She hated them and disconnected because of that.

Contractors always transfer to real employees lying about whatever. VZW contractor says the customer wants to buy FiOS service. When in reality the customer lives in Washington State and wants to cancel one line. I’m tired of apologizing because how bad they are.
I had a contractor remove my TV service and placed an order for 2 gig with every perk. I didn’t know they placed an order until the tech came to my home. They changed my email and cell so I didn’t receive a message about it.
@ad your story makes no sense. There’s no commission for VZ employees. Only contractors make commission.
Onshore FiOS tech agents are always fixing order issues created by offshore agents. But some onshore agents also create issues. My neighbor isn't good on the phone so when his Internet went out I did troubleshooting at the router and ONT and then called in. Normal speed at the ONT but when connected to the router the speed dropped to less than 1 mbps. This was with a brand new Ethernet cable and testing with a laptop at the router and ONT. The agent on the phone forced us through 90 minutes of testing before finally agreeing it was the router. Then they insisted my neighbor buy a new router. He paid rent on the router so it should have been a simple swap for a replacement router of the same model. The agent insisted on the purchase of a new router until I revealed I was an employee. Only then she backed down and reluctantly put in a ticket to replace the router. If that is what customers are going through it's no wonder they are frustrated. 120 minutes to get a result I knew before I called in.
Hahaha, you should see tech support for FiOS. The fix ALWAYS requires an order change. Then the customers wonder why they have all the movie channels but no regular channels and their bill is double. Such a sham!
