Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Retiree Humankind Limit Slashed 30%

For decades, retirees had a pathetic $3,000 Humankind company match. Now it is suddenly dropped to $2,000. Successful companies actually increase these figures over time. Exxon and Conoco match $5,000, Shell $5,500. Yet another benefit reduction by our dying corp. What goes around comes around.

@cf is obviously some self-centered new employee. Probably belongs to networks but never volunteers for anything. Age and experience in the real world will soften his/her tone.

Oh boo hoo. Matching charitable donations for your cause - I wouldnt be surprised the shenanigans you pull by funding your own non-profit LLCs.

This is honestly one of the smarter moves for Chevron. I’d rather get more cash to pay employees than to do this human kind thing

It’s been $2,000 in 2025. Surprising but nothing new. Wait until you see life insurance almost double for 2026.
