Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Anyone seeing small waves of people being let go or "time for a new chapter," or is it just me?

I'm slowly starting to see more and more Cisco employees update their LinkedIn, stating that they're open to work. Naturally, I'm curious if silent layoffs are happening and how big this one really is.

My BU seems to hire a senior Product Manager every 2-3 weeks. Another today.
Mostly Indians in the US
All the technical resources are juniors in India (and hardly any of them).

I've noticed none of the departures in the US have any plans for backfill. I can't recall the last hire I saw in the US in my org...it's been literally years and I must assume this is policy

Meanwhile the Bangalore org grows and grows

Connect the dots folks...the only question is at what point does Cisco just terminate the US workers who won't "attrit" on schedule...

For PIP and small LR, there is no WARN reporting required.

It’s seems as customers don’t renew contracts, those working are let go. It’s plain and simple. AI is being very efficient 😀.
