Deloitte Australia will issue a partial refund to the federal government after admitting that artificial intelligence had been used in the creation of a $440,000 report littered with errors including three nonexistent academic references and a made-up quote from a Federal Court judgement….

A new version of the report for the Department of Workplace Relations (DEWR) was quietly uploaded to the department's website on Friday…

@n4 I will say when Accenture presents proposals vs. Deloitte, Deloitte is gracious, down to earth, and far more respectful than the 'fake,' overpriced, hollow, full of blathers at Accenture. It's been an easy choice so far when comparing the two. Then besides that, there are those HR ladies that are inhuman when walking you out the door after years of high marks and dedication, taking the risk I guess that they will not be cannibalized by those thousands of X Accentures that now sit on the other side of the desk with budgets, audit audit authority, long memories, and huge red pens. Someone should have done the maths on that potential impact. Hmmmm, wonder if that's having an impact now.

@a4 you may think it's a lower tier company, and maybe they are, but they are winning a lot of business from Accenture and others and the public thinks of them as a choice vs Accenture. If there are layoffs at Accenture, are there layoffs at Deloitte?
