@1ec This is a good question in michigan and things are terrible @ best with this new homeowners product. Half of the deductibles are averaging between $2600-$3500 for wind and hail. Hard to convince someone wanting to switch when the premiums are coming out equal. We were on track to hitting 6 months probably 7 if this new homeowners product did not come into effect. Being able to not C.O.D homes for customers are tough as well with the down payment requirements.
I understand why Allstate did it with the bonus comp changes dangling a carrot in agents faces creates a lot of fraud waste and abusive just to hit a number the temptation is there for sure. I can tell you one thing from a producer perspective better be able to be making some money outside of the agency because next year will be like crickets.
I fear we are on that last leg. Any idea how much time we have left?
There are currently over 800 exclusive agencies right now on the last leg of making counts. As we speak.
Our agency is struggling to meet the auto numbers each month, especialy with the new product and pricing. Are we next?
I remember an old timer saying it when downhill the moment the agents became franchised(?) and were no longer considered employees of main corporate companies.

Five years ago there were over 10,000 agents. There are now 4,700 and dropping. I think you're a little late to the party.
There was talk about 2032-2035. A large portion of business is still with local agents. With Allstate underwriting appetite for certian products and expanded markets which CCC does not write, agents still have some years left. Get your auto numbers and stay safe and good luck.
