@1x3
"ditching EVs (drum roll...in Lansing!)" LOL okay I can see the bias.
Your receipt only shows a reallocation in resources for CADILLAC.
That's smart -> aligns investment with the higher margin ICE CT5 (awesome car).
It doesn't point to a larger failure of EVs, especially for GM.
It doesn't take away the fact that Chevy is the #2 EV car in American sales.
The dead horse is the idea that GM is ditching EVs. They aren't. Why would they if they are gaining market share and finally coming into profitability? SMH

Here is your receipt bro.
China Inc posts everywhere. Overproduction there doesn't equate to sales here. Please go away.
Having a different view point with an "EV They/ Them" and their reaction to it is priceless. :)
@y4
Globally, EVs are even bigger sellers than in the U.S.
You are the one beating the dead horse.
And in case it isn't clear to you:
dead horse = failed myth that EVs aren't scaling both in profits and sales
Here's the receipt:

Where's your receipt? Demonstrate your claim. A simple down-vote won't save your ego or your credibility. Your arguments are sad, tired and pathetic.
'dead horse'
Chevrolet brand now #2 in U.S. EV sales
https://news.gm.com/home.detail.html/Pages/topic/us/en/2025/jun/0609-Chevrolet-brand-now-2-in-US-EV-sales.html
"Driven by our broad portfolio of 13 EVs from Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC, GM has solidified its position as the #2 seller of EVs in the U.S., with more than 62,000 EVs sold in the U.S. year to date through May." (article is from June)
Factory Zero employees remain on layoff through end of year.

You do realize the Chinese have forced their markets in that direction with subsidies? And the reason they have done so is largely believed to be because they don’t have large amounts of their own petroleum but can produce plenty of their own electricity and battery materials.
I foresee more countries shifting toward using their own materials/minerals as global tensions rise so in the event of a large conflict most supply chains remain intact at home. Imo this is one of many reasons why our current POTUS is encouraging manufacturing at home.
Lett's beat the dead EV horse some more!
No export sales, huh?
No one wants evs without government intervention, even then the US market struggles. Weird how the communist dictatorship of China can force its people to do stuff.... China of all places is not what we should strive to be. Everything is a facade covered with LEDs.
Maybe the general public is smarter than the Chinese propagandists that seem to control GM these days.
@a1
It could be 'obvious' in a couple of ways. It's obvious to me that if the gov't stops taking tax payer money to subsidize a certain type of car, people will go back to buying what they want to buy instead of what they're told to buy. If you want to give a gov't discount to EV's, then give a gov't discount to ICE cars too. Then you can see which cars people want to buy. But then everyone knows that manufacturers would just increase the price to match the rebate anyway so removing the rebate is better for car buyers and tax payers. Keep the gov't out of it. I don't want to pay taxes to buy a car for anybody including me.
So if you read the article, the reason we're different from the rest of the world is... obvious.
