“But look at the stock price” was used as something of a justification for decisions like RTO and veneration of Stankey. Looked today though and the stock is effectively flat since early March and down vs. 6 months ago. S&P 500 is way up in that time period. Thank goodness I move my 401k match out of T and into investments that actually do something (for now)

We went from 1 to 3 after they made everyone come back in 3x, now at 5x we will drop even more. As someone pointed out, the competitors are doing just fine using hybrid and fill wfh. Their employees are happy and loyal as a result. Now we are 567/600 in culture. Just something to think about.

Ala Enron & Worldcom.
Perfect time to start buying the stock back. Coincidence?
so has Verizon stock, they only seem to move when an upper manager wills it so. at least Vz has a decent div, att broke the faith in dropping their div.

Yes, stock price droppage has all to do with so many of us now p00ping on company time and otherwise no longer giving one flying fck about this piece of f'n $chitt company.
“Jeremy Legg confirmed that revenue growth is going to be slow over the next few years.”
I didn’t hear that but I’ll take him at his word because he should know. Who knew you couldn’t cut your way to profitability. But, but, where is all the innovation with AI? Where is the revitalization of IT that was promised?Where are all the new product rollouts. Where is the savings from legacy retirements? Where is the surge of work ethic and commitment from the employees that supposedly think he’s so hip and cool?
Too much hiring over last year or 2. Once the fiber is placed and headcount goes down by 2/3 the stock will be amazing. Buy all you can.
@a9 Unlikely. As interest rates go down we will continue to borrow money to buy back stock and prop up what is left of the stock price until bankruptcy happens. Remember any time they use "Free cash flow" to do this instead of paying off debt that is the same as borrowing money to do it.
It’s a sht stock because they turned it into a sht company
Ah yes the “but the stock price” sycophants… Great stock price? LOL! AT&T is basically flat over the last 10 years. Spare us the Wall Street fairy tale while employees get crushed by RTO games. And even if it were appreciating, which it’s not, stock charts don’t fix culture. Badge swipes don’t rebuild trust. And pretending everything’s fine while employees are miserable is how companies rot from the inside.
Verizon stock price is 50% higher than ours, and T-Mobile Stock price is 700% higher than ours… and neither one has 5 days RTO. RTO DOES NOT WORK. The stock price proves it.
@a9 - thanks Warren.
Price is going to keep falling for foreseeable future if anyone is interested in shorting
Yep, and a few analysts have issued sell recommendations saying the upside is not limited since revenue growth will be slow over the next few years. Jeremy Legg confirmed that revenue growth is going to be slow over the next few years.
Yes it is up up from its nadir but that rise seems to have plateaued.
